Just A Trim...

Ok, so it was a little more than a trim but it was much needed. Emily got her first real haircut on Saturday. She's had some little trims but only by mom (and probably not very good.) We went to a cute little place with cars and animals to ride while you got your haircut. I thought this might make the whole experience a little easier. Despite the picture of her looking happy in the car, that is not accurate evidence to how the experience went. We had talked all about getting our haircut and how is doesn't hurt and how she would get a balloon and so on. She was totally set....until we walked into the salon. Then the panic hit. She refused to get in a chair, finally agreed to sit on my lap while her hair was cut, freaked out when they tried to put the apron on.....we had a little chat, some candy promised, put a Thomas movie in and finally we were able to complete the haircut. The aftermath pictures are so cute, but like all good things in life, it required some major work. And of course, everyday since then she's asked to go back and get her hair cute more. Figures!

The cars were much more appealing after the haircute ordeal!
