Old Friends....Good times!

Ok, so I swear I won't post everytime we go to Disneyland, that would get old, but this time was extra special. Our good friends back from the Provo days, Jen and Tyson, just moved down to Huntington Beach from San Francisco. It's been 4 years since we've lived by each other and we are so excited to play again. Things have changed a little....we aren't just 4 anymore, we are now 8 people strong. With 4 kids under 3 running us around, things are crazy but so fun. They got Disneyland passes too so we will be frequenting the "happiest place" alot.

Emily....showing her Disneyland smile.
This is so funny...Merrick and Berkleigh were trying to eat off the same apple, it was hilarious.
Jen and Tyson and twiners on a bugs life ride.
Our little pirates (the toy in a happy meal).....arghhh!!!!

Grandma and Grandpa's Visit!

This last weekend Grandma and Grandpa Polson were able to come from Seattle for a fun visit. We were so excited to have them here. Saturday we took them to the Natural History Museum and to the Long Beach Aquarium. It was a busy day but so much fun. At the museum, the girls especially love the Discovery Center where they can dig for bones and see all kinds of scary creatures. Emily loved showing everything to G & G. After going to the aquarium, we walked the Long Beach waterfront. It was fun to see all the different boats. Sunday was a special Father's Day, since we got to spend it with Grandpa. The girls took G & G to nursery with them and allowed Mom & Dad to go to Sunday School TOGETHER! Crazy, I know. We almost didn't know what to do with ourselves. We had such a great weekend hanging out and playing with G & G. We can't wait to see them again soon.

On the Pot..

Ok, so not what you're thinking but equally as funny. Emily and Lauren both love to play with the pots and pans. My kitchen is constanly a mess because the pull everything out and put their toys in the pans. It's a harmless pass time I let them have because it keeps them busy for a while. This day though, Lauren got her self in a little tight spot. She sat in this pot and actually got her little bum stuck. At first she thought it was funny because everyone else was laughing but after a little bit she became very concerned. Needless to say, we rescued her and she has recovered nicely.

Dinasours and more!

On Memorial Day, we took the girls and went to the Museum of Natural History on the USC campus. Emily loves the movie "Night at the Museum" so we thought she would love this. She was really excited about the dinasour in the entry, she kept calling him "Rexy". Some of the other rooms she was less excited about but Lauren loved all the animals. She would get so excited, she especially loved the elephants. The museum was a really amazing place. They have this great discovery room for kids where they can do puzzles, dig for bones, and they have a huge collection of spiders, bugs, snakes and a huge turtle. The girls had a great time and we will definately have to visit again. We also really enjoyed the rose garden that's outside the museum. It was so beautiful.

Just so you know, Emily was mad, not scared.

Pt. Dume

On the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, we went on a little adventure to Pt. Dume. It's a really cool beach about 20 miles north of Malibu. We hiked around the rocks, chased the birds and found a cute little seal friend. There is also a short hike up to the top of the cliffs that presents an amazing view of the coast. It was a cloudy day so we couldn't see too far but I'm sure on a clear day you could see forever in both directions. It was a really fun day and somewhere we would definately go back to again.

Our little friend. He looked a little sad. Hopefully some of his friends joined him.

Absent AGAIN!

So I know that I've been the worst blogger lately. I actually do have some things to blog but we've been super busy and this last week my internet hasn't been working. What a pain! I've never realized how much I use the internet. I had a lesson to plan...no internet. I had a activity to plan...no internet. How am I supposed to balance my checkbook. And most importantly, how do I check People.com without my internet. Crazy. Anyway, we finally got everything figured out tonight so hopefully I can update the blog this weekend and get caught up once again.
